Here are a couple of photos I took of the absolutely lovely Lauren Starkiller. This super sweet location is the most adorable little cheesecake shop on Quinpool Rd. here in Halifax called Sweet Hereafter. If you’re a cheesecake fan, I highly recommend going because it is worth the trip and every cent.

A big thanks to Jessica Judge and Geena Morse for assisting me on this little photo session.

I’m not too sure why I haven’t posted this series to my blog yet but I figured now would be as good a time as any.

Last summer I started photographing a series with my dear friend Taryn, the heroine of this series.

The initial concept was to showcase exaggerated and stereotypical scenarios in a satirical way of living in the trailer park/ being trailer trash. I feel as if we achieved our said goal.

It was my intention to continue the story of this heroine but schedules didn’t line up and life just…. happened. I have full intentions of continuing this series so as of right now consider this body of work Vol. 1 of 2.

As a visual artist, I feel as if this series in particular best illustrates my intentions, skill, and creative vision as a photographer. Out of my entire body of work, these images are what I am most proud of thus far.

I would like to thank everyone involved in the making of these images. You are the best of friends a guy could ask for. Thank you.

As per usual, please feel free to check out my portfolio at www.hypephotographic.com and please feel free to contact me if you feel that I could fulfil your photographic needs.

Heres a little gem from a shoot I did a couple of months ago of my dear friends Helena Darling and Steve Duchesne. Their roommate, Mike really wanted to get in on the photoshoot as well. So naturally I told him to get in there! This is the result.

I got to photograph my two nephews when my sister was in Halifax for a visit. I was pretty excited to do this for my sister. I’m pretty pumped at how they turned out.

Please check out my website at www.hypephotographic.com and please message me for your photographic needs!

Did this little photo session with my one of my best friends, Kaitlyn Albright, back in October and decided that we going to wait to post them. Now seems like as good of a time as any. Kaitlyn also deserves credit for being the make-artist for these as well because she is one kickass MUA.

Hair done by the one and only Helena Darling.

I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph my best friend and her fiance’s engagement photos/family portrait. In my opinion, this is one of the better photos I’ve taken in quite some time. I’m very very happy with how it turned out!

Get at me if you’d like to have your very own personalized family portrait or even if you just want to be photographed by yourself. I’ll photograph ya!!

Check out the website here: www.hypephotographic.com

Check ya later!

A hoy hoy!

So it’s been a while since I’ve made a post(sans the post I made the other day about the shoot I had with Orchid’s Curse).

Just giving a heads up that I just uploaded a bunch of newish content to my website. Almost doubling the amount of photos in the music/event section. And a few more goodies in the people section. Check it out!! www.hypephotographic.com

I know I haven’t had too many new photos popping up as of late, I promise I have been shooting! I haven’t been able to post any yet because I’ve been submitting them for publication and they don’t like it when they’re already posted. You’ll get to see them soon though.

In the mean time, here’s a few goodies from when I covered the Juno’s back in 2010 that I haven’t posted anywhere!! DUN DUN DUNNNNN!

That’s about it for now but feel free to hit up the website and give me a ring if you have any photographic needs!

Talk soon!

Lenny

A special thanks to my old photo instructor (Ingram Barss) for inviting me in today to talk to his class! A really cool bunch. It was an absolute delight talking to these emerging photographers. Makes me feel all nostalgic and stuff.

I had a chance to photograph the radtastic dudes of Orchid’s Curse this past week for some promo photos at Saint Lou’s Gentleman’s Barbershop located in the Historic Properties marketplace in downtown Halifax! Here’s the best from all our efforts.

A huge thank you goes out to Rob Oxner for letting us come into his barbershop and play around for an hour and half.
And a special thank you to Ellen Munster for being my lovely assistant.
Check out Orchid’s Curse blog right here for some ball melting metal: http://orchidscurse.wordpress.com/
And also check out Saint Lou’s website here: http://www.saintlous.com/
Go in and get a cut from this wonderful dude. You get a beer with your haircut by the way, what more can you ask for?!
And last but not least, feel free to check out my website at http://www.hypephotographic.com and feel free to contact me for your photographic needs!
